Oilfield Services & Supplies Pte Ltd (OSS) is a Singapore‑headquartered manufacturer and service provider to the upstream oil & gas sector. Established in 1997, the company designs and produces drill collars, drill pipes, mud motors and other down‑hole tools for customers across Asia, India, the Middle East and Central Asia. OSS employs around 250 people across eight manufacturing and repair facilities in Singapore, India, China, Thailand, Indonesia and Kazakhstan.

Challenge

With equipment lifecycles becoming shorter and new surface‑engineering technologies emerging, OSS needed to upskill its multi‑site workforce quickly while preserving stringent safety and quality standards. Job titles differed from country to country and skills data sat in separate spreadsheets, making it difficult for HR to plan training, comply with Singapore’s SkillsFuture requirements and offer clear career progression for machinists, engineers and technicians.
